Ryan Miranda

Ryan serves as an Assistant Lab Manager in the Alexandria VCP. Ryan has worked as a marine archeologist and hydrographic surveyor for the Army Corps of Engineers in the Baltimore and Galveston Districts. He has participated in terrestrial and maritime archeological projects on a variety of sites in the United States and abroad. His master’s thesis focused on examining artifacts from USS Constitution to discover more about the lives of sailors throughout the ship’s history. Ryan’s professional interests include viking archeology, naval history, and the use of AR/VR technology in public archeology outreach
