Ragan Guevara, MA

Ragan Guevara joined New South in 2025 as a Cultural Anthropologist. She holds an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, specializing in museum studies, ethnography, and Indigenous representation. Her work spans cultural research, historic preservation, and art curation, including roles with FEMA and Vulcan Park and Museum. She has conducted studies on decolonized museums, NAGPRA, and Indigenous activism, with a focus on cultural documentation, heritage preservation, and engagement with Indigenous communities.
