Biography
Laura Leigh joined NSA in 2024 as an Architectural Historian. During graduate school at UGA, she worked as a FindIt Surveyor in the College of Environment and Design. She also interned at the Historic Natchez Foundation where she learned about historic tax credits and archiving historic material. Laura Leigh’s MHP thesis focused on two of Georgia’s early female architects, Ellamae Ellis League and Jean League Newton, and her research highlighted Newton’s architectural influence on League’s firm. Laura Leigh’s interests include twentieth century architecture, building documentation, and the impact of preservation on communities.
