Biography
Gage Huey currently serves as the Curator for the Veterans Administration History Office (VAHO) project in Dayton, Ohio. Gage earned his B.A. in Anthropology from Miami University and his M.A. in Applied Archaeology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) and has experience working in archaeological and historical collections in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Montana. He has a specific interest in managing precontact archaeological collections and doing public outreach to increase awareness and appreciation of the past. Gage joined NSA in 2021 as an archaeological cataloger for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) Cataloging Project, in which he cataloged USACE collections at the CSKT artifact repository in Pablo, Montana. In addition to his role at VAHO, Gage enjoys visiting local historic sites and natural areas in Southwest Ohio.
