Sarah currently serves as an Archaeologist in the Fairfax Office and began with New South Associates as a Manager in the Veterans Curation Program lab. As a lifelong Marylander, she has 9 years of experience conducting archaeological research, field work, and curation in the mid-Atlantic region. Sarah received her B.A. in Anthropology from Towson University and her M.A. in Applied Anthropology from the University of Maryland College Park with a focus on historical archaeology. She has worked with state and federal agencies including the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Services, Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and the Maryland Department of Transportation. She is engaged with efforts to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of archaeology and has a passion for connecting people with the past in ways that bring wonder, healing, and understanding.
