Whitney serves New South Associates as a Historian in the Fairfax, VA office. Whitney was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where she earned her BA in Anthropology from the University of New Orleans and Master of Architecture in Preservation Studies from Tulane University. Whitney’s proudest professional accomplishment is her participation in an international archaeology field school in Hohenthurn, Austria where she worked to uncover, catalogue, and repatriate remains from a WWII Tuskegee Airman crash site. Whitney is a dedicated preservationist with a background working in local non-profit, state government, and private sectors with experience conducting hundreds of site visits, conditions assessments, and Section 106 compliance documentation for projects in over a dozen states.
