Katherine attended College of Charleston for BAs in Art History and Historic Preservation & Community Planning. She then joined the Master of Historic Preservation program at UGA where she interned for the FindIt program. There, she discovered her love of mid-century architecture and a passion for documenting the “recently historic”. Katherine spent some time in Nantucket, MA, where she studied and documented the direct effects of climate change on 200+ year-old buildings and historic streetscapes while working with a team to suggest mitigations. In addition to historic preservation and cultural resources, she also has a love for traditional crafts and skills, vernacular architecture, and intangible cultural heritage.
