Cheyenne Bennett serves NSA as a cultural anthropologist as a remote worker in Louisiana that reports to the Stone Mountain, Georgia office. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Mississippi State University and an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Mississippi. Cheyenne’s graduate studies focused on the impacts of displacement, place attachment, and how attachments to places are continuous and ongoing despite displacement. Prior to joining NSA, Cheyenne worked as an intern for the National Park Service’s Southeast Regional Office as a cultural anthropologist where she read and critiqued ethnographic reports for national parks across the region, identified ethnographic resources for each park, inputted resources into the NPS’ new Cultural Resource Inventory System (CRIS), and consulted with parks on Section 106.
