Sarah Janesko (M.A.A. Anthropology, and Certificate in Museum Scholarship and Material Culture, University of Maryland College Park; B.S. Anthropology, Towson University) currently serves as the Assistant Project Manager for the VCP. Sarah provides support for the four flagship VCP labs and the VCP satellite lab at Washington State University. She has studied and worked on historic excavations in Maryland, written technical reports, and presented research at professional conferences. During her M.A.A. internship with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center she assisted volunteer research projects quantifying how humans affected local ecology through agricultural and household choices. She will continue to use archaeology as a means of connecting people through discussions about heritage and environment.
