Biography

Howard Cyr joined New South in 2025 as a Principal Investigator | Geoarchaeologist. He has led archaeological survey, deep testing, geophysical investigations, artifact analyses, and public outreach across precontact, historic, and multicomponent sites. In addition to archaeological investigations, his work emphasizes stratigraphic analysis, landscape reconstruction, terrestrial and underwater geoarchaeological coring, remote sensing (GPR, magnetometry, UAV photogrammetry/LiDAR), and GIS-supported landscape analysis.
