Katie Leslie (B.A. in Anthropology, Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville) serves as the Archives Lab Manager in the St. Louis VCP. Her experience in Cultural Resource Management and public archaeology is diverse, having conducted fieldwork in both Illinois and Arkansas. In Illinois, she worked for several years as a Crew Chief with the Illinois State Archeological Survey (ISAS), formerly ITARP, Wood River lab. In addition, she worked for two summers at the Center for American Archeology, a non-profit organization that focuses on public archeology. In Arkansas, she worked with the Arkansas Archeological Survey as a Research Assistant at the Henderson State University Research Station. Katie’s interests include public archeology, Mississippian cultures, prehistoric crafts production, and foodways.
