Emily Williams has been with New South Associates since 2015 and serves the company as the Assistant Project Manager for the Veterans Curation Program (VCP). Dr. Williams has a B.A. in History, a B.A. in Anthropology, and an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Kansas.  Dr. Williams has laboratory experience in prehistoric ceramic and lithic analysis. Before joining New South, she worked in collections management and archeological materials at the Archaeometry Lab at the University of Missouri, the Archaeological Research Center (ARC), and the Odyssey Archaeological Research Team at the University of Kansas. She is a member of the Georgia Council of Professional Archaeologists (GCPA), Greater Atlanta Archaeological Society (GAAS), the Society of Georgia Archaeology (SGA), and is a registered professional archaeologist (RPA). She has conducted fieldwork in Georgia, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and North Dakota.
