David Amrine began with New South Associates in 2014 and serves as a Laboratory Analyst. Mr. Amrine has an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and B.S. in Geology and a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from West Virginia University. Mr. Amrine has done artifact analysis and curation with the National Park Service–Midwest Archaeological Center and has three years of experience in archaeological fieldwork. His experience includes Phase I–Phase III work in Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming. He has also obtained volunteer archaeological experience in Mongolia, doing surface survey and excavation on two separate occasions. His specialties include historic nail analysis, general archaeological analysis and curation, and archaeological field survey. His academic interests include geology, archaeology, paleontology, and entomology.
