Tracy Martin has been with New South Associates since 2009 and serves the company as an Archaeologist. As an Archaeologist, Mr. Martin conducts background research and field projects, manages crews, coordinates fieldwork with Principal Investigators, and consults with state, federal, and private agencies. Mr. Martin received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1994 and his M.A. in Anthropology from East Carolina University in 2004. Mr. Martin is also a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA). His area of expertise is the Woodland period of prehistory, with a focus on prehistoric ceramics. Mr. Martin has conducted research and fieldwork for a variety of clients including several Departments of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Forest Service, and a variety of other county and state governments and private agencies. He is experienced in all phases of fieldwork and has worked in the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Indiana.
