Andrew Wright joined New South Associates in 2022 as Project Manager for Georgia Department of Transportation projects. He previously served in a variety of roles within cultural resources management and environmental consulting, including stints with the Forest Service and as an embedded reviewer at GDOT. In his current position, Andrew helps New South’s clients and internal teams navigate GDOT’s cultural resource review process. Collaborating with New South’s archaeologists and historians, he works to develop strategies grounded in detailed, first-hand knowledge of the Department’s processes that deliver cultural resource studies as effectively as possible. He holds a B.A in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Medieval Archaeology from the University of York. Andrew is a member of the Society for Georgia Archeology and the Georgia Council of Professional Archaeologists.
