Angela Hronek joined New South Associates in 2022 and serves the company as an Architectural Historian in the Greensboro, North Carolina office. Angela holds a B.A. in American Studies and Art History from Amherst College and a M.A. in Art History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Angela’s graduate studies included a focus on American vernacular architecture and landscapes. Prior to joining New South Associates, Angela lived and worked in Madison, Wisconsin. She has completed cultural resource surveys, Section 106 reviews, and National Register nominations in more than a dozen states including California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Texas, and Vermont. Angela brings a background in museum education and interpretive writing that informs her work in Cultural Resource Management. She also has specialized experience with historic roads and bridges, post-World War II resources, and oral histories.
