Gabriel Griffin has been with New South Associates since 2022 and serves the company as a Geophysical Specialist. Mr. Griffin received a M.A. in Applied Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology from Mississippi State University and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mr. Griffin has experience in all phases of archaeological fieldwork, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and geographic information systems (GIS). Mr. Griffin has worked in Cultural Resource Management (CRM) and for the U.S. Forest Service as an archaeology intern in Nantahala National Forest. Mr. Griffin has used remote sensing methods to investigate Archaic shell rings in South Carolina, Mississippian and historic sites in Mississippi, and to help preserve Black cemeteries in Alabama and Mississippi. He has worked in central and east Texas, Mississippi, western North Carolina, the Western Cape of South Africa, and Malawi.
