Jordan Cole joined New South’s Geophysics Department in 2021 and has worked in the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry since 2016. Mr. Cole received a Masters of Archaeology and Heritage with distinction, from the University of Leicester (UK) in 2023, and a Bachelor of Archaeology with Honors, from La Trobe University (AUS) in 2016. Jordan specializes in archaeological applications for remote sensing technologies, including ground-penetrating radar and magnetic gradiometer systems. He also has experience with spatial data collection and GIS, with a background in construction industry surveying. Mr. Cole has worked throughout the east coast, and in Australia, in a variety of historic, pre-contact, and mortuary contexts and has completed projects for a range of state, federal and private entities. His research interests include remote sensing for historic structures, landscape archaeology, and the archaeology of unfree labor.
