Faith Meader served New South Associates as a Senior Historian from 1999 to 2006 and rejoined the History Department in 2017. Ms. Meader received a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and an interdisciplinary M.S. in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, and Folklore. At New South, she has conducted historical research, historic architectural surveys, National Register of Historic Places eligibility determinations, and oral history studies throughout the United States. In addition to multiple state Departments of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Park Service, and various military installations, she has worked with city and state governments and private firms to develop historic contexts, administrative and corporate histories, management plans, and popular history publications. Ms. Meader’s experience also includes 10 years of archaeological fieldwork in the Northeast, Southeast, and Pacific Northwest.
