Sherry Teal is an Architectural Historian in the Greensboro, North Carolina office. She specializes in evaluations and research of large-scale public works and cultural landscapes with an eye toward inclusive interpretation. Sherry has experience working in a variety of areas. She has surveyed late nineteenth-century Chinese immigrant mining settlements in Montana, researched large-scale public works such as the Fort Peck Dam and J. Percy Priest Dam, surveyed and written a National Register of Historic Places nomination for a road segment of the Cherokee Trail of Tears, and participated in an architectural survey of one-room schoolhouses in Montana, which received a Vernacular Architecture Forum award in 2018. She has worked with government agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with minors in Native American Studies and Linguistics, and a Master’s in Public History with an emphasis in Historic Preservation. She also is a big fan of brick.
