Tabor Vess has been with New South Associates since 2013 and serves the company as a Laboratory Analyst and Field Technician. In his capacity as a Lab Analyst, Mr. Vess assists in the preparation, analysis, organization, cataloging, and conservation of artifacts and documents recovered during New South field investigations. As a Field Technician, Mr. Vess participates in all levels of archaeological fieldwork, including survey and mitigation projects, and is responsible for generation of field records and photo documentation of cultural remains. Mr. Vess received his B.S. in Anthropology from Longwood University in 2006. He has extensive experience in both prehistoric and historic archaeology and educational outreach. Mr. Vess has conducted fieldwork for a number of clients including the Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee Departments of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the National Forest Service. He has worked extensively throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and abroad in the British Virgin Islands.
