John Kimes joined New South in 2019 as an assistant geophysical archaeologist. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His primary interests include biocultural anthropology and mortuary archaeology in the southeast United States. He has experience in all phases of archaeological investigation, and has worked in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, North Dakota, and Michigan.
