Jessica Young started with New South Associates in 2019 as Assistant Program Manager. Before joining New South she spent more than 10 years engaged in academic archaeology and cultural resources management. She has experience coordinating and managing projects for State and Federal agencies as well as American Indian Tribes. At New South she manages Georgia Department of Transportation projects and provides assistance in managing client relationships, streamlining office processes, and developing project management tools. Ms. Young is a Registered Professional Archaeologist with experience in marketing, scoping, and proposal development as well as all phases of archaeological research and project design. She received concurrent B.A. degrees in History and Anthropology from West Virginia University and earned her M.A. in Anthropology from Northwestern University. Prior to coming to Georgia, she worked in Romania, Turkey, England, and less-exotic locations including Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado.
