Ron Wise

Ron Wise serves New South as an Archaeologist. He received his Bachelors in Anthropology from Auburn University and his Masters in Archaeology/Anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He specializes in flake analysis and experimental replication and has completed survey, testing, data recovery, and mitigation projects for various state, federal, and private entities.  He is also a flintknapper and has participated in multiple public outreach events across the Southeast. His research interests include lithic analysis, flintknapping, experimental archaeology, and hunter/gatherer mobility patterns.  He has worked in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina and Florida.
