Sara Read has been with New South Associates since 2016 and serves the company as Program Manager. As Program Manager, Ms. Read manages project delivery, which includes overseeing the content, performance, and improvements to New South’s project database, generating project master schedules, reviewing and developing work plans, working with project managers, principle investigators, and technical staff to manage and review project performance and delivery. Ms. Read has served as Project Manager on projects for clients including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Georgia Department of Transportation, Army Materiel Command, and private clients. Ms. Read is a Certified Project Manager, Registered Professional Archaeologist, Geophysical Archaeologist, and Technical Trainer, with extensive experience designing, implementing, and coordinating historic preservation programs. She earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas and M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Denver. Prior to coming to New South Associates, Ms. Read was a staff archaeologist with the Georgia Department of Transportation and a technical trainer and archaeology application specialist with Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc.
