Rebecca Shepherd has been with New South Associates since 2015 and serves the company as an Archaeologist. As an Archaeologist, Ms. Shepherd conducts background research and field projects, manages crews, coordinates fieldwork with Principal Investigators, and consults with state, federal, and private agencies. Ms. Shepherd received her B.S. in Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology from the College of Charleston in 2007 and her M.A. in Anthropology with a focus in Historical Archaeology from the University of South Carolina in 2014. Her area of expertise is colonial South Carolina, with a focus on historic ceramics. She has experience in all phases of archaeological fieldwork and has worked in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
